After quite a while resting on my more or less laurels (past listings) it's time to get a move on and put up some more listings. My goal is five books every day from now on. This should be achievable, but not according to my past performance.

These books get listed in three places: on Amazon, Biblio, and Half. Books without ISBNs (older books) generally will not be listed on half. My prices might vary between these three places. Amazon and Half tell me competing prices, so I peg mine on them. Thus, if the lowest price for Deadly Percheron is $98 on Amazon, I might peg mine at $95. If it weren't my only copy maybe I'd be more reasonable. In fact, I think my Biblio listing is more reasonable.

Going forward (and possibly backward), links to titles of books will send you to the main Amazon listing. My listing will be somewhere amidst the other maybe 237 listings. This is where my photo of the book can be seen, which will probably be a better one than the one Amazon features. Half doesn't let me attach my own photo—at least I don't think it does. Photos are also at biblio. Lots of older listings still don't have photos. Nor updated prices.

I've been lousy at selling direct via email. Sorry about that, if you've tried me. Listing through the major portals keeps me honest—also prompt and reliable.

02/07/06 TUE:
---Email sent to Night Shade:
Dear Jason:
Better cancel my Jan 20 order, if you haven't already.
Thanks!

Yours,
Chris
---It looks like Night Shade might be headed as far as my relationship with it is concerned the way of Cemetery Dance Publications and Subterranean--where the publisher seems to prefer dealing with customers directly rather than through book dealers. This is perfectly understandable and I have no problem with it, except that I can’t be buying books at the same or less discount than customers can get by buying direct. Plus there are the added bonus chapbooks and books that customers get if they buy from publisher or subscribe to their books. So I say buy from Night Shade and not me. A special sale email showed up in my inbox today:
Hey all,

It's been a busy few months, and we've released a boatload of new titles in that time. Which is a happy thing, especially since we seem to be selling more books than ever. However, it means we're running out of space in the warehouse, and we've got a whole truckload of Hammer's Slammers arriving shortly.

So, our space shortage is your gain! In order to delay the acquisition of more space, and the inevitable grunt work of having to move inventory, we're running a sale.

Until 11:59pm Friday night (PST), you can get 50% off of your order by using the coupon code NSB0250. In order to take advantage of the coupon, you'll have to order a minimum of four books. The coupon is good for both in-stock and forthcoming titles.

So get to buying!
