Got a bunch of news for you today, so let us begin!

We've just announced some of our fall titles. Among others, we have:

Zima Blue and Other Stories. A collection by Alastair Reynolds, with an introduction by Paul McCauley. Includes an original story. The limited edition will be signed by Reynolds, with a bonus story, "Digital to Analogue".

Trial of Flowers, a fantasy novel from Jay Lake. Firmly in the vein of Perdido Street Station, The Etched City, and City of Saints and Madmen.

We're also doing a reprint of Walter Jon Williams' wonderful novel, Hardwired. Williams does his cyberpunk riff on Zelazny's Damnation Alley.

Originally published in 1990, Sung in Blood is an impossible (and impossbily expensive) to find novel from Glen Cook. A high fantasy version of Fu Manchu meets Doc Savage. Limited edition details to follow.

We're also rereleasing Kage Baker's excellent collection, Mother Aegypt, in trade paperback this October.

There's a couple other projects pending, and we'll be announcing those shortly.

In other news, we've had a few new releases lately. We've shipped out all the preorders on The Complete Hammer's Slammers vol. 1 a few weeks back, and the limited is almost sold out.

En route from the printer are the trade paperbacks of Charles Saunders' African heroic fantasy novel, Imaro, as well as M. John Harrison's seminal weird novel, The Course of the Heart. We should have them in-hand shortly, and we'll have preorders sent out shortly.

A quick status on other titles:

Maul, by Tricia Sullivan and Snake Moon, by Ray Manzarek are at the printer now. Lurker in the Lobby, our forthcoming guide to Lovecraftian cinema, should be at the printer this week.

We're making very good progress on the first Clark Ashton Smith volume, and will be posting the table of contents shortly.

Perdido Street Station is still pending the receipt of China's artwork, but we're hoping to have it soon.

---Adjusted settings for biblio and half.com listings to “returned from vacation”. We were in California last week visiting our son Neil in San Francisco and my parents in Carmel. It was great to see them and some of the sights in California. The trip went smoothly, but now I need to re-orient myself to the bit of build-up of things to do--both what has come up while away and the too-many things I didn’t get done before leaving.

---Tried not to have too many book shipments coming while away, but a few things here anyway: large boxes from Ash-Tree, NESFA Press, and a 35-pounder with more used books to sell on consignment. As I get these catalogued, I will post them here, of course.

---As if not up against it enough already, I went to a large book sale today and picked up some 111 more used books to add to inventory. Not too many choice items, maybe because this was the next-to-last day of sale that started, I think, last Thursday.

The limiteds often sell out at the convention, but my order this time for a couple copies has been acknowledged.
