After quite a while resting on my more or less laurels (past listings) it's time to get a move on and put up some more listings. My goal is five books every day from now on. This should be achievable, but not according to my past performance.

These books get listed in three places: on Amazon, Biblio, and Half. Books without ISBNs (older books) generally will not be listed on half. My prices might vary between these three places. Amazon and Half tell me competing prices, so I peg mine on them. Thus, if the lowest price for Deadly Percheron is $98 on Amazon, I might peg mine at $95. If it weren't my only copy maybe I'd be more reasonable. In fact, I think my Biblio listing is more reasonable.

Going forward (and possibly backward), links to titles of books will send you to the main Amazon listing. My listing will be somewhere amidst the other maybe 237 listings. This is where my photo of the book can be seen, which will probably be a better one than the one Amazon features. Half doesn't let me attach my own photo—at least I don't think it does. Photos are also at biblio. Lots of older listings still don't have photos. Nor updated prices.

I've been lousy at selling direct via email. Sorry about that, if you've tried me. Listing through the major portals keeps me honest—also prompt and reliable.

Ash-Tree Press

I haven't heard from Ash-Tree in a while, not since they said EXOTIC GOTHIC 3 would be shipping several weeks ago. I think they have a few titles coming out for the World Horror Convention next month in the UK, so it's quite possible they are holding off shipping me anything until they have some other titles on the verge of publication to send too. It wouldn't be the first time, and I don't mind the wait. But I'm sure everything will be coming along eventually.
Here's a paste from their Facebook page:

And to round off the hat-trick of current preparations for World Horror in Brighton, here's the jacket for Simon Kurt Unsworth's LOST PLACES collection. Photography by Wendy Unsworth (I think), and Jacket design by Jason Van Hollander.

computer, computer

I'm in the process right now of shifting over to a new computer, since the one I'd been using did not have an advanced enough system to run an advanced enough browser to run the advancing Google Docs where I park my catalog data for all to see who might care to...by the way, are the file sizes of these ever too big to browse around in easily with the computers you all might be using?
At any rate, the new computer, a Mac Mini using my old Viewsonic monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse, looks like it is up to speed. Now I need to get there too. Or I need to figure out how to dumb-down some of the features I'm finding myself trying to grapple with, so that I can keep doing things about the way was doing them before. The biggest hurdle right now: printing mailing labels. Probably dead simple, but that probably won't make it any easier.
